Design
Let the fun begin! Combine your vision and our expertise in designing beautiful round homes and this is where you’ll begin to see your dreams becoming a reality. Whether you desire a simple, single unit home or a custom multi-unit home, we are here to help you create the perfect home for your lifestyle and your property.
If your dream is to build a camp, school, retreat center, spa, medical office, or some other type of business structure, our homes can be the perfect solution to your business plan.
When you have created the preliminary design, one of our Project Managers will provide you with a detailed Initial Estimate. Our goal is to not only create your perfect home or business structure, but also meet your budget requirements.
Drafting and Engineering
Once you are happy with the design and the projected costs, the next step is to sign our Plans Contract. First we have you work with our designers to refine your plans. We will then initiate both drafting and engineering for your structure. Every Mindful Living structure is designed, engineered, and built to meet local and national building codes. We will be providing you with a permit ready set of plans that includes formal engineering documentation. You will use the final plans as a resource and guide for the entire construction project, including obtaining bids from local general contractors who you might hire to assist you with the entire project.
Permit
The final plans will be used to submit for your Building Permit with your local building department. We are licensed to build in all states, plus we have experience building in many international locations.
Build
Once your Building Permit has been issued, the next step is to sign the Building Contract. The initial payment associated with this contract allows us to schedule the building of your structure in our Shop and purchase the appropriate materials. During this time, you will build your foundation, per the specifications on the plans. The foundation must be complete and final payment received prior to your structure being shipped from our facility in Eugene, Oregon.
Setup
Mindful Living homes are assembled from pre-fabricated components for shipment to your jobsite. Our setup guide is provided at no extra cost. For an accomplished builder and/or our small simpler homes, this guide along with your construction documents should be all that is necessary to set your structure up.
We do strongly suggest that if you are not highly accomplished or if your home is large and complicated or if you want the setup to take place in an accelerated period of time, that you take advantage of our On-Site Technical Support. Our technician will guide you and/or your contractor in sequencing, scheduling, tips, suggestions and troubleshooting. We will gladly give you an estimate and a more detailed description of our onsite support. Phone support is also available (Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm PST) as well as by fax, email and mail support.
Once the exterior shell is finished, it is weather-tight and lockable. Next you are ready to begin work on the interior, i.e., installing plumbing, electrical wiring, interior walls, cupboards, cabinets, lighting, appliances, fixtures, etc. This process is exactly the same as it would be for a traditional home, so your contractor should be able to complete the project with ease. Then you, too, will become a proud Mindful Living home owner!
